This position will provide systems engineering and technical leadership support to multiple customers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• interface and integrate with existing and future Army and MDA programs
• actively discover opportunities for Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques to address program and system requirements
• collaborate with AI development teams to relay and represent program interests
• Participate in Business Development opportunities.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, a strong analyst, and will have excellent technical communication and problem-solving skills. The following are objectives for the role:

• Become the 1st Edge Subject Matter Expert for customer domains
  • Identify and derive customer requirements
  • Translate customer requirements to internal program requirements
  • Represent customer and user perspective to development team
  • Understand and promote internal program capabilities and objectives
  • Translate internal program capabilities to customer specific areas
  • Support development of Model Based Systems Engineering architecture and artifacts
  • Support user testing and integration
  • Support engineering product development within the agile software development environment
• Engage and collaborate with current and future customers to identify business opportunities
• Identify opportunities to expand Systems Engineering expertise with current and future customers
• Develop Systems Engineering artifacts
• Assist with program management functions as needed
• Successfully integrate 1st Edge solutions into customer domain with proven benefit

Desired Experience includes:

• Solid Systems Engineering experience
• Air, Missile and Space Defense to include: 
  • Operations and CONOPS
  • Flight, Ground and Digital Testing
• Wargaming and Force on Force exercises
• Radar & optical sensor systems
• Weapon systems

Desired technical skills:

• Proficiency in system engineering and execution processes
• Familiarity with Software Development, Data interfaces, and Agile development processes
• Ability to develop and present reports and presentation to senior management-level personnel; exceptional written and verbal skills required

General requirements:

• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• 5-20 years of related experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• US Citizenship required

Education requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering or related engineering field
