Job Description

We are seeking a Psychometrist to join our clients' team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of registered psychologists and will be responsible for administering, scoring, and assisting with the interpretation of standardized psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults presenting with a range of emotional, behavioural, learning, and developmental concerns.

This position is compensated per client contact and is well suited for candidates seeking flexibility.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer, score, and summarize standardized psychometric assessments (e.g., cognitive, academic, attention, executive functioning, emotional/behavioural measures)
  • Collaborate with psychologists, trainees, and other clinicians to support comprehensive psychological assessments
  • Prepare clear, accurate written summaries and contribute to psychological assessment reports
  • Participate in consultation with clinical staff as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Support program evaluation and data collection activities as required
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with ethical, professional, and privacy standards

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Psychology (or closely related field)
  • Demonstrated ability to administer and score standardized psychometric tests with adult populations; experience with children and adolescents is an asset
  • Previous experience in psychological testing and assessment
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing clinical and program demands
  • Strong computer skills and comfort with electronic clinical records
  • Fluency in English required; bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
  • Valid criminal record check (within the past year)
  • Professional liability insurance coverage

Assessment Experience
Experience administering and scoring a range of cognitive, academic, and psychological measures, such as: WAIS-IV, WIAT-4, WISC-V, WRAML3, WMS-IV, CVLT-3, TMT, CTOPP-2, Beery VMI, and related instruments.

 

Additional Information

Compensation Structure
Compensation: $60–$75 per hour of billable assessment time.  Billable assessment time includes:

  • Direct in-person or virtual assessment time with clients (e.g., test administration)

Related-assessment services (e.g., scoring, interpretation, report writing) as defined by clinic policy
