Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

You will be the go-to person for the full Procure-to-Pay inventory management cycle in this in-office position, which will include but not be limited to:

  • Creating and monitoring purchase orders (raw material and MRO) from placement to delivery
  • Working closely with carriers to ensure on time delivery and customs clearance of goods and services
  • Using forecasting techniques to predict demand and P.O. release requirements
  • Working closely with Plant Manager and maintenance to provide assistance of sourcing MRO indirect materials, supplies and services
  • Leading, managing and monitoring inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods
  • Maintaining ownership of material movement and storage from start to finish
  • Engaging in inventory analysis including cycle counting and root-cause analysis
  • Maintaining inventory records such as receipts and issues
  • Completing production scheduling, inventory control, and material-planning duties
  • Analyzing problems to identify root causes
  • Executing vendor surveys and qualify vendors

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Company:

  • Post secondary education in a materials/purchasing related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • APICS - CPIM certification preferred
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (GP or Similar), minimum intermediate Excel
  • Exceptional time management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional manner with ability to multi-task
  • Ability to stay motivated and keep a positive attitude
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and provide this proof if provided an offer of employment
  • Employment offer will be contingent on a satisfactory background, criminal record, and credit checks
  • Must have valid drivers licence
