Job Description

This position will require the person to work mainly with the PMO team, as Business Analyst to assist in the requirement gathering phase and new changes requested by our clients. The person will also have to coordinate activities internally and manage communication with customers and all other stake holders. There will be instances where the person will be involved in the executing phase of the projects as well. Hence this role holds the potential to assist the person to grow as a Project Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze customers' requirements and uncover details of business problems that prospects have.
  • Participate in solutioning sessions internally and with the customers to arrive at best fit solution.
  • Document the to be proposed solutions in an effective and clear manner; in addition to using the proper tools and modeling techniques to further enhance the solution document.
  • [ Flow charts / Data Flow Diagrams/ Sequence diagrams, Use case diagrams and other related flows].
  • Will be responsible for the complete change management process [Requirement analysis, Feasibility checking, CR document preparation, coordination of technical review and getting internal and customer approvals].
  • Identify and document project’s scope, prepare project plans and maintain them.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal and external stake holders.
  • Project control and timely status update to stake holders in meetings and through weekly reports.
  • Maintain project documentation and be focused on successful completion of project in a timely manner.
  • Attend internal and external project meetings and maintain the minutes of meetings and communicate it with stake holders.
  • Provide feedback on products’ features and liaise with Product lead on product roadmap.
  • Participate in system training and learn all aspects of system functionality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role handling both profiles.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to recognize the pain areas and requirements of the customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills including an ability to think independently when faced with challenging questions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written & verbal.
  • Tracking, documenting and communicating project status, issues, risks and decisions to project stakeholders on the status of all deliverables and work accomplished.
  • Ensuring that all materials such as SOWs, FSDs, Design diagrams and Project plans are maintained and up to date.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze requirements and understand the technology implications of the requirements to make independent decisions quickly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues, customers and partners.
  • Must be a presentable and self-motivated person with a drive for continuous learning and improvement.

Preferred Experience:

  • A certification related to either Business Analysis or Project Management.
  • 2+ years of experience in any of the following areas:
    • Banking/financial industry applications in particular.
    • .NET web applications with MS SQL, Oracle or DB2 databases.
    • BPM/Workflow or Archiving/DMS/ECM solutions in any industry.
    • Knowledge of Visio or similar flowchart / sequencing tool
