Job Description

The Home Visiting - Improvement Action Center Team (HV-ImpACT) has an opportunity for an Improvement Advisor (IA) position, reporting to the Project Director.  The IA is casual position and is an exciting opportunity for an experienced improvement expert to provide leadership of EDC’s HV-ImpACT Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plan aimed at ensuring the delivery of high quality, responsive, and accurate technical assistance (TA) to Maternal Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) awardees.

This is a telecommuter opportunity with little to no travel.  We require one day of time per month from January 2020-March 22, 2020 with potential for an extended contract period and time allocation per funding availability.

EDC casual employees generally work as needed.  A casual position receives statutory benefits of Social Security contributions, Medicare contributions, unemployment insurance, worker’s compensation insurance and sick leave.  A casual position ends when work is complete.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a public health care environment, preferably home visiting
  • Knowledge of quality improvement and service model change, implementation and maintenance
  • Knowledge of and 3-5 years of experience in successfully implementing a framework for change management, including measurement development and analysis of data trends, shifts, etc. and using that data to inform practice changes.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching team members in interpreting, analyzing and using QI data as part of day-to-day practices
  • Experience and skill with QI data reporting and dissemination of results at the team level and funder level
  • Experience leading teams to drive progress and achieve goals

 Relationship Management

  • Establish trust and rapport with project team, TA partners, and affiliated TA Centers in an effort to gain positive momentum and investment from staff.

Quality Improvement

  • Evaluate current workflow to determine potential improvements to implementation of CQI plan in partnership w/ HV-ImpACT management team
  • Review and analyze monthly data dashboard of key measures, in aggregate and by region
  • Develop key talking points summarizing findings tailored to various audiences (i.e. project team, funder, broader group of stakeholders)
  • Coach HV-ImpACT management team and TA providers in assessing progress in meeting aims in process and outcome measures,
  • Coach HV-ImpACT management team and TA providers in testing and implementing service improvements related to TA delivery
  • Teach QI content and/or lead QI activities (i.e., process mapping), as needed to support team
  • Coach management and HV-ImpACT team on interpreting and disseminating QI data in clear, accurate and concise manner internally and externally.
  • Lead team in refinements of the TA QI plan annually
