Job Description

EDC is currently working on projects involving Interactive Audio Instruction (IAI) in Philippines, Panama, Haiti, and other countries.

One of the main projects the Media Production Intern will assist with is the English for Latin America (ELA) program. ELA is an IAI program designed to teach English to young people and support teachers in providing effective instruction. ELA consists of 100 audio programs that use dramas, songs, games, and more to help students meet the basic level of English according to internationally recognized standards. Taking into account the need for English proficiency to succeed in life and the workforce today, ELA is offered throughout Latin America and provides youth with a foundational start in the English language. ELA’s website is englishforlatinamerica.org.

ELA has been implemented in schools throughout the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Colombia. The Media Production intern will work with a group of highly experienced producers from the United States, Latin America, and Africa. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in both international development and audio production to use their skills to improve education in developing countries.
