Job Description

As a Senior Stress Engineer, you will ensure the proper structural design of the Volocopter. You work closely with all the design engineers and the testing department. In cooperation with a Team, you will develop and optimize the composite structures following to the latest industry best practices and aviation certification standards.

Your Tasks:

  • Structural load calculations and analysis
  • Structural stress modelling and analysis
  • Lightweight optimization of structure
  • CVE function for Structure and Loads disciplines
  • Generation of documentation following the EASA DOA requirements

 

Qualifications

  • Hand-on, creative and solution-oriented way of working
  • Experience in composite structures development and optimization process
  • Strong experience in structural load analysis
  • Experience in composite FEM simulation and testing
  • Master Degree in area of aeronautic structure design or equivalent
  • 5 years proven experience in light weight structural design and stress calculations in Aviation. Experience with CS23/CS27 is a plus
  • Experienced in using CAD software (Siemens NX / FEMAP / FIBRESIM preferred)
  • Good write and speaking skills in English
  • Knowledge and understanding of Part 21J and EASA DOA functions
