Job Description

Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Special Metals, Inc. in North Haven, CT has an exciting opportunity for a Materials Coordinator.

Under general direction from the Supply Chain Manager, perform several duties related to purchasing, supplier management, inventory maintenance, and report management.

Specific areas of required expertise include:

  • Place purchase orders with suppliers;
  • Review purchase order acknowledgements;
  • Expedite purchase orders;
  • Utilize MRP to assist in determining material requirements;
  • Review and resolve supplier claims;
  • Review and update tag information for layout and certification;
  • Manage the process of tag disposition of aging, unusable inventory, and vendor rejects;
  • Obtain pricing quotes on transactional opportunities;
  • Maintain supplier quality and on-time performance information;
  • Maintain data in manufacturing system;
  • Update supplier information in CRM; and
  • Participation in company-wide material meetings, conferences, and objectives.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain. Must have strong problem solving skills and strong customer service orientation. Excellent communication skills and proficient computer skills are required.
