Job Description

Who You Are.
As our Quality Assurance Inspector, you will provide inspection services and techniques that support the Quality Assurance department’s efforts to monitor and ensure that products produced by Flow International meet or exceed established quality standards. Perform CMM operation and work in other areas of Quality, such as Inspection and/or Quality Management System activities. Work is of a technical nature with decisions made within the limits of general procedures and specifications. Work independently on a daily basis with some direct guidance received from manager.

• Operate CMM for part inspection in support of production.
• Perform in-process and final inspection of a specific variety of parts of complicated form with moderate tolerances.
• Manage disposition of rejects.
• May represent the department on the Material Review Board(s).
• Meet schedule and quality requirements.
• Perform all other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a CMM.
• Ability to use hand tools and gauges for measurement of physical parts.
• Moderate level of analytical ability where problems are complex.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of sampling inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of methods used in outside processes such as painting, plating and anodizing.
• Ability to work independently on projects and function effectively in a team environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.

Education and/or Training:
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Quality Assurance, including two (2) years minimum in machined parts inspection, or equivalent experience in the assembly/operations of Flow products.
• Visual, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, or Ultrasonic Testing experience is a plus.
