Job Description

The SVP, Strategy will actively foster the client partnership and lead the agency team across all aspects of the business. The SVP, Strategy will ensure consistently superior media strategies and marketplace solutions, effective plan activation, and ongoing learning and optimizations in service of a fast-paced luxury goods client. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary day-to-day liaison between Zenith and senior level clients.

  • Drive collaboration across the agency team to deliver cross-channel media plan recommendations that include objectives, strategies, partner initiatives, activations, learning agendas.

  • Command a comprehensive understanding of marketing communications and effectively translate into media goals, objectives, and strategies.

  • Collaborate with other agencies and creative team to design/deliver the desired consumer journey.

  • Support efforts with Zenith Investment to ensure timely Media Partner briefings; ensure media buys deliver against aligned strategies and timings.

  • Supervise the seamless activation of media plans, anticipating and addressing issues early.

  • Identify and deliver key learning opportunities for client to increase effectiveness.

  • Establish KPIs, support timely media reporting, and leverage learnings to increase media impact.

  • Propose innovative solutions to help secure the position of category leader and elevate media performance.

  • Ensure client receives full value from Zenith’s resources within the parameters of the service agreement.

  • Identify needs and cross-sell inter-agency products/services to further support client business.

  • Provide direction to the team working on account; clarify/realign agency priorities with client as needed.

  • Proactively trouble-shoot and implement solutions.

  • Responsible for long term thinking to improve account processes both internally and externally.

  • Ensure a robust training program is in place to support career development for all team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 15+ years of media experience with deep understanding of the media ecosystem.

  • Extensive media strategy/planning knowledge, with experience in investment.

  • Strong experience across all media types (national, local, digital, print, OOH).

  • Experience on fashion/luxury account is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to anticipate ever evolving business needs and adapt resources and strategies accordingly.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills.

  • Ability to translate insights and numbers into viable business solutions to enhance strategies.

  • Proven experience delivering superior client service.

  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to drive the team to deliver meaningful results.
