Job Description

The VP, Strategy will lead all aspects of the day-to-day business, guiding the team on the best path forward to achieve strategic goals developed in relation to the client vision in service of a fast-paced luxury goods client. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive agency deliverables across the Zenith offer:  Strategy, Investment, Social, Data & Analytics.

  • Lead the client partnership and drive collaboration, fostering a partnership mentality. 

  • Develop and execute strategy to guide media plan development; exhibit a depth of understanding of Ralph Lauren business, audience, and media landscape.

  • Evaluate composition of media vehicles to deliver against campaign objectives and effectively reach the target audience; articulately communicate rationale.

  • Lead efforts with Zenith Investment to ensure effective and timely briefings of key media partners; fortify productive relationships with key media partners.

  • Partner with Investment to ensure media buys deliver against aligned strategies and timings; ensure timely delivery of POVs on partner proposals.

  • Establish KPIs, support timely media reporting, and employ learnings to increase media effectiveness.

  • Responsible for accurate budget management across channels and campaigns.

  • Lead, present and coordinate all client presentations.

  • Responsible for managing agency resources against aggressive project deadlines.

  • Supervise and train staff to maximize team performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 10-15+ years media experience.

  • Luxury/Fashion experience is preferred but not required.

  • Proven success in presenting plans to client and influencing top-level decisions.

  • Experience within Investment and clear knowledge of the media ecosystem from start to finish.

  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and client relations.

  • Strong presentation skills and business writing skills.

  • Excellent leadership, management and motivational skills.

  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and quantitative/analytical skills.

  • Agile thinker, proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

 

Business Competencies:

  • Fluency with media planning tools (e.g., Media Tools).

  • Solid understanding of digital planning and activation tools (e.g., ComScore, PRISMA)

  • Strong knowledge of audience tools (e.g., MRI, Simmons, GWI)

  • Strong knowledge of competitive tools (e.g., Kantar, Pathmatics)
