Job Description

The Senior Associate is responsible for developing media buys in alignment with the objectives and strategies of assigned clients. He/she oversees the implementation of media buys and provides buy-stewardship through daily and weekly results analysis to meet client’s goals.  Additionally, manages their assistant ensuring their development, accuracy of their work and deadlines.


The Senior Associate provides market place conditions as well as media recommendations on new networks and new technology. 
They serve as a primary contact within the buying group and are the liaison with the planning group as a key resource of information for clients, partner agencies, and vendors. 
The right candidate should be proactive, must be able to work both independently and be a team player, have strong vendor relationships, and have knowledge spanning national cable, spot, syndication, network and radio.  

  • Work with planners and senior leadership on preparation and execution of National Broadcast focused media plans
  • Work with planning, traffic and billing, to ensure media campaigns are executed flawlessly
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of campaign including budget, KPI goals, station performance, billing, and buy management 
  • Prepare recommendations, analyze and report results to the planning group
  • Lead and monitor all day-to-day buying activities and deliverables on various accounts
  • Compile and analyze weekly performance reports using Core, MBOX 
  • Provide post analysis write-ups to strategy teams
  • Train, supervise and mentor their Assistant in all aspects of media buying and campaign management 
  • Pursue and develop new media opportunities especially leveraging established media partners relationships 
  • Organize and maintain all files and records pertaining to client buys 
  • Attend and speak at industry events as company representative

Qualifications

  • 1+ Years' Media Experience 
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and solid mathematical ability
  • Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills with great attention to detail  
  • Experience of providing direction and training to team members
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Pivot Tables/Vlookups required. 
  • Knowledge of Core and/or MBOX and other media research tools a plus
