Department/Team Overview

International Acquisitions: Purchase of ready-made program licenses from major and minor global studios for Nine Network Australia. Our team is responsible for financial reporting of acquisitions (month end, forecasting, budgeting, cashflow), payment of licence fees and maintenance and rights management system.

Network Programming team: an Overhead department containing Nine’s Senior Programming Executives. Our team is responsible for financial reporting (month end, forecasting, budgeting, cashflow) and financial control (expenses review and approval).

Reporting to Business Manager – international Acquisitions, you will be responsible for day to day activities to ensure financial reporting deadlines are met, providing analytical analysis to support decision making and expected to contribute to systems development and transformation. Financial reporting includes Month end reporting, Budgets & forecasting, and Cashflow reporting.

Business Partner

Manage internal and external relationships within/outside the Finance Department and Nine Group.

Support Business partners with timely and accurate Financial information and analytics e.g. Month end, tracking to forecast, financial impacts of new deals.

Communicate clearly and concisely financial analysis to senior stakeholders of the business.

Financial Control

Support Financial Controller to achieve Group Financial Objectives. 

• Provide deep dive financial analytics for Senior Executive review into Acquisitions’ Inventory and Payables (analysis of suppliers, contracts, category of acquisition and ageing). 

• Understand your departments business risks and opportunities. 

• Maintain and Improve Internal Control Processes.

Systems & Process Improvement

Expected to contribute to process improvements and streamlining of day to day tasks.

Expected to help maintain and enhance the Rights Management Systems, through directing system development projects. 

Nine finance is going through a group wide IT transformation project. Expected to contribute in the development/ integration of the Rights Management System during this transformation through an understanding of ERP best practice.

Desirable experience & skills
