Job Description

As an engineering intern you will have the opportunity to contribute to one of MindMaze’s engineering projects over a period ranging from 3 to 12 months.

Current project involve:

  • Movement analysis algorythms;
  • Inertial and camera data analysis;
  • GPGPU OpenCL implementations on embedded devices;
  • Computer vision and user tracking using depth and/or RGB sensors (through machine learning, deep learning, sensor fusion);
  • Haptic feedback using vibration or robotics;
  • Voice recognition algorythms;
  • Eye tracking using cameras;
  • Game demos using unreal/unity;
  • Digital brain signal processing (EEG…);
  • Automated test platforms for medical device software;
  • Applications for VR/AR head-mounted display;
  • Mutil-RGB camera and depth-sensor calibration.

In order to be successful you will:

  • Ensure up to date knowledge about the latest technology evolution.
  • Develop high performance, platform agnostic and easy to use systems.
  • Diagnose performance and stability issues, and develop solutions.
  • Deliver on time to the highest quality standards.
  • Accurately estimate schedules and deliver high quality work products to that schedule.

Qualifications

To be successful you can illustrate the fact that you have the following abilities:

Skills that we look out for are among:

  • Experience with real time 3D libraries such as OpenGL and DirectX, and interfacing with 3D Authoring tools such as Unity3D or Unreal Engine;
  • Object-oriented design skills and proficiency in C/C++ programming and debugging;
  • Experience in any of the following: multi-threading, memory management, performance optimization, computer vision, networking, SIMD/SSE, OpenCL;
  • Experience with code and data optimization;
  • Experience of debugging stability issues and release/optimized code;
  • Commitment to code quality, documentation, and thorough testing procedures;
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices;
  • knowledge of cross platform (Linux/Android/Windows) development;
  • Min B2 level of English.

Skills that make a difference:

  • Demonstrable interest for development outside the working environment (e.g. Personal projects, blogger, Open Source, papers, StackOverflow, etc.);
  • Able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge within a specialised area;
  • Working knowledge of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality including application development;
  • Min B2 level of French.
