Job Description

· 

  • Manage and build servers to support the needs of a large IT company
  • Troubleshoot problems or issues with software and hardware in a operation engineer atmosphere
  • Performs hardware and software evaluations and make recommendations
  • Performs application Compatibility / Interoperability Testing / Application Packaging
  • Develop and maintain documentation required to support the server infrastructure.

     

Qualifications

 ·        2-3 years  hands on experience in Windows with some Redhat experience would be an advantage

·         Active Directory within a multi domain environment

·         Active Directory and Exchange architectural integration

·         Active Directory DNS integration within multiple domains

·         Corporate experience with environments greater than 50+ Windows 2008 server and above and greater than 1000

·         Good knowledge of  the Microsoft stack

·         Expert  knowledge of Active Directory, including DFS, DHCP and DNS

·         Good understanding of server hardware configurations

·         OS deployment and image management

·         Good working knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, WINS,DNS)

·         Good knowledge of VMWare ESX server, experience with vSAN, vRA and vRO would be an advantage

·         Good knowledge of SAN solutions, including maintenance and monitoring

·         Good understanding of working within Multiple forests and domains

·         Able to troubleshoot hardware and software problems, test and apply S/W patches as warranted

·         Keep the data center and surrounding work areas neat, clean and safe

·         Experience in a hands-on systems engineering role

·         Good written and oral communication skills

·         Sharp, analytical thinker – enjoys solving problems, uses both logic and innovation.

·         College education in a related field or equivalent professional certifications

·         Professional Certifications (or equivalent training/experience) MCITP
