Job Description

Basic Function: 

 The Director, Social Media & Content Marketing will be responsible for all advertising, social media, and content marketing activities. This includes setting our overall advertising strategy, and drive content that will build thought leadership, broaden brand awareness, and engage prospects and customers. Additionally, this position will be responsible for all social media and outbound web strategies and tactics, including social media engagement, blogging strategy, paid search, search engine optimization and online advertising.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

Drive all advertising activities, including advertising strategy, ad creation, media strategy and placement 

Create comprehensive social media strategy for the company, covering Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Wikis, blogging etc… 

Drive all online marketing activities (excluding our website), including online ads, paid search, and search engine optimization 

Set yearly budgets and manage all expenses within team 

Work with both internal designers and external agencies to create advertising with exceptional impact 

Work with Product teams to translate product strategies into advertising strategies 

Set clear, measurable KPIs for team and ensure our advertising and social media activities deliver on expected goals 

Develop marketing plans for key content pieces, including recycling into blogs, data visuals, videos, articles, presentations, etc. 

Measure and report content effectiveness through a variety of analytical tools 

Develop the content marketing program and process, including editorial style guidelines

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English or related field required 

8+ years’ experience in technology marketing required, 

2+ years’ of B2B content marketing, writing, or journalism experience preferred 

4+ years of social media or advertising experience required 

Agency experience preferred 

Strong collaboration skills required 

Outstanding writing, proofreading, and editing skills; understanding of how tone, messaging, and voice influence the reader 

Detailed oriented and deadline-driven with experience leading teams and projects 

Driven self-starter with positive outlook, flexible nature, and tenacious work style
