Job Description

Come Run with Sasquatch as a National Distributor Manager for Convenience Store Wholesale! In this role, you will grow and develop total Jack Link’s sales for this channel primarily through strategic alignment and promotional management and planning.  You will assist District Managers and National Account Managers with managing the large wholesalers and DOT. Additionally, you will create and manage the annual programs, coordination of item numbers, trade shows, and account receivables. Success will come from a strong emphasis on planning, forecasting, and building customer-specific programs and penetrating multiple levels of customer organizations. This role may eventually take on individual retailer account calls like airport retailers. In this role, the most critical components are managing trade funds, and leveraging category management practices and resources. 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you should possess the following education, experience and skills: 

  • 3-5 year’s exposure to CPG sales from a sales or business analysis standpoint
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment with high-level personal commitment to exceeding expectations
  • Strong written and oral skills
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills in the development of both short & long-term category strategies
  • Goal oriented & well organized
  • Strong analytical skills (specifically able to identify trends, opportunities, and business insight)
  • Ability to interface and build relationships with multiple levels of an organization
  • Proactive (high sense of urgency) and committed to delivering results in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
  • Excellent understanding of retail store merchandising management
  • Must be able to produce/ present information formatted in a compelling and persuasive manner
  •  Must be able to execute new item innovation acceptance at retail
  • Competent at manipulating, interpreting & presenting category trend/sales data (Interface with channel Cat. Mgr) to both internal & external parties
  • Experience developing strategic sales, marketing, and financial plans
  •  Accustomed to being evaluated on achieving both top & bottom line sales & profit goals
  • Involved in managing all deduction & AR issues on all applicable accounts
  • Familiar with issuing direction/updates to a national retail sales team
  • Strong computer technical skills in MS Excel & PowerPoint and experience using CRM based software for customer account planning
  • University/College BS/BA in Business/Marketing

Preferred:

  • 3-5 Years direct selling experience dealing with C-Store wholesalers
  • Broker management experience & retail service provider execution
  • Using & leveraging consumer insights in a selling environment
  • Experience working with McLane, Core-Mark, Eby, Hackney
  • MBA

Travel:

  • At least 30-60%
  • Located in the following areas: Minneapolis, Chicago, Dallas, Austin (Long career C-store experience may be able to work from home location)
  • At time of offer, must be able to provide evidence of a satisfactory driving record pursuant to a driving records check, valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
