Job Description

Research and develop disease-modifying immune therapies (small molecules and/or biologics) that induce, restore, and maintain immune tolerance to prevent/stop the immune attack of pancreatic beta cells that causes type 1 diabetes (T1D); assist in managing research projects within JDRF’s Immunotherapies program with an emphasis on projects related to the discovery and development of novel immunotherapies and understanding the immunopathogenesis of the disease; establish and monitor measurable research milestones; liaise with researchers and relevant organizations to exchange information; develop collaborations and participate in building research programs of mutual interest; and attend scientific conferences and develop/deliver presentations.

Requirements: PhD in biological sciences or related + 4 years postdoctoral research experience in diabetes required.  Must have published 3 peer-reviewed articles on diabetes.
