ABOUT YOU

You are a strong hands-on leader who knows how to lead through people and lead by example. You are passionate about developing and inspiring your co-workers and, together with your team, you provide our customers with a fun and hassle free shopping experience in our store.

You:

  • Have excellent skills in the Customer Relations field;
  • Are an experienced leader in managing a team with a minimum headcount of 5-10 persons;
  • Have solid communication, negotiation and influencing skills;
  • Have experience with external service providers;
  • Are able to provide a high teamwork spirit which reflects on our customer service;
  • Have good attention to detail by being attentative, persistent, structured and accurate;
  • Are very perceptive with the ability to implement solutions quickly.


ABOUT THE JOB

The IKEA Delft Store is now looking for a Shopping Experience Manager, reporting to the Customer Relations Manager.

In your role as a Shopping Experience Manager you contribute to the Customer Relations assignment: to build and retain a long-lasting relationship with new and existing customers. 'Family friendly' is a year-round commitment of the IKEA Delft store: visiting the store with children should be pleasant and stimulating, engaging for visitors of all ages. The ease of shopping should make it natural for customers to visit the IKEA Delft store with children again and again.

Succeeding in this task creates huge potential to stimulate customers to spend more time in the store and to repeat their visits more often. This is done by:

  • Creating family friendliness (by offering an always free and staffed Smaland, implementing the mandatory facilities in the store and working with the commercial calendar to secure that families will always find a good reason to visit our store frequently);
  • Shopping tools management (provide the right shopping tools in the right place when customers need it);
  • Managing the service-contract with the sub-contractor;
  • Securing in-store customer guidance;
  • Team Management & People development.
