About the job

The Data privacy manager is responsible for the data privacy strategy - steering documents, implementation and governance.

This means working in an inclusive way on requirements with the protection of IKEA and our co-workers, customers, suppliers and stakeholders in mind, as well as steering, supporting and enabling the organisation to achieve the defined ambitions. The role also includes understanding and overseeing the risks, being able to balance these against the opportunities of data-sharing and ensuring timely and sufficient mitigation.

About the assignment

You follow the data privacy laws, regulations and trends. In collaboration with data privacy responsible colleagues across the different companies operating under the IKEA Brand, you define the IKEA standpoint(s). You drive the data privacy roadmap as part of the Information Management Practice for Inter IKEA Group. You bring the data privacy awareness and competence level for all co-workers to the right level. You actively stimulate and ensure privacy by design.

Main areas of responsibilities:
• Establish and maintain the data privacy policy, standards and rules
• Deliver the data privacy strategy and roadmap
• Setup the data privacy governance
• Monitor and act on global and local laws and regulations
• Provide hands-on support
• Secure risk and breach management processes
• Raise awareness and competence levels across the organisation
• Contribute to the ‘security by design’ principles and Information management framework
• Initiate, support and/or coordinate assessments, reviews and audits
• Establish relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Provide independent advice and support across the different companies operating under the IKEA Brand.
