About you

What more are we looking to find in you?

• Excellent knowledge of accounting processes, standards (Dutch GAAP, IFRS), and preferably also in the tools (SAP BPC, Coda, Basware, Crescendo, Qlikview). Preferably Masters in Business Economics or equivalent.
• Solid experience in a finance function (more than 5 years) both from an operational perspective as well as from a tools perspective, preferably in an international environment
• You are discreet, professional, and eager to find efficiency and get things done on time
• You have proven, effective project management experience
• You recognise yourself in the IKEA values and you have an interest in people’s life at home.

About the job

As Project Leader in the Accounting function, you must

• Lead and initiate accounting projects throughout the franchisor.
• Represent Accounting as a first point of contact for project owners from the business
• Perform ad hoc projects & analysis as assigned by the Accounting Manager
• Maintain financial reports in the financial system
• Support, maintain and set-up new (financial) processes
•  Ensure common way of working throughout the franchisor when it comes to accounting processes, systems and tools.

About the assignment

Your key stakeholders are managers and co-workers in the Accounting and Finance functions, Business Navigators, and other managers and co-workers throughout the franchisor.

To be successful in this assignment, you need to demonstrate:

• Initiative to take the lead or respond pro-actively when streamlining and improving processes
• Adeptness at building relationships with stakeholders to lead and enable change
• Professionalism and interdependent leadership to represent accounting in business projects
• Proficiency in managing and delivering to project timelines, goals, and milestones
• Out-of-the-box thinking, and the ability to make things simple.

5-10% travel may be required from time to time.
