About the Opportunity

The Payroll Consultant is a multi-faceted role responsible for the provision of Tier 1/2 advice and assistance on a range of payroll related matters and legislative requirements to employees and Managers regarding entitlements and the payment of paid and unpaid Academic and Professional staff within the University for their dedicated client portfolio.    

The position is also responsible for the timely analysis and processing of fixed term, continuing (paid and unpaid), casual and sessional staff master data via the PeopleSoft HCM, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accuracy of information. This includes the maintenance of databases, preparing and processing of Workcover entitlements, updating and maintaining executive and academic/senior management details, and salary packaging benefits where required. The Payroll Consultant will be required to liaise with internal and external clients, other elements of the University and external bodies as required. 

This position requires demonstrated behaviour in accordance with the Fraud and Corruption Control Framework and the University's Integrity program. This includes acting with integrity in undertaking duties and implementing processes to effectively prevent, detect, and respond to fraud and corruption within the University.

About you

  • The occupant of this position will hold relevant tertiary qualifications or an equivalent combination of relevant experience in providing timely and accurate processing and analysis of payroll and HR master data and/or education and training

This is a continuing, full time opportunity based at our Nathan campus.  As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other campuses.

HEW 7 Salary - $96,669.80 - $104,731.27 base +17% super. Full package range - $113,103.66 - $122,535.
