US Export Compliance Consultant

Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated person who enjoys a fast-paced, professional & dynamic work environment to fill a key role in our U.S. Export Compliance Consulting Department.  Placement will be in one of the following locations: Boston, MA; Detroit, MI; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
•    Classify items (hardware, software, and technical data) with United States Munitions
List (USML) or Export Control Classification Number (ECCN), including
determination if products are subject to U.S. export licensing requirements.
•    Prepare and submit export license applications and classification requests, as
required.
•    Audit client forwarders/brokers for compliance.
•    Support global compliance programs for client as applicable.
Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
•    5+ years of Export Compliance Experience
•    Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and OFAC
regulations
•    Working knowledge of DTrade and SNAP-R.
•    Excellent customer service skills, including written and verbal communication
•    Ability to develop internal and external client relationships and speak to export compliance issue
•    High attention to detail is a must for this position
•    Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
•    Superior organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
•    Maintain complete and accurate records on client projects
•    Communicate professionally with both internal and external customers
•    Experience designing, implementing, and managing export compliance processes and internal controls
•    25-50% Travel
