Job Description

Colby Community College is accepting applications for an Animal Science Instructor and Livestock Judging Team Coach. This nine-month position begins in August 2017. Candidate should establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, administrators, and faculty. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will assess student learning and application of course objectives and competencies, along with designing, developing, and maintaining course curriculum. Ability to build and maintain articulation agreements with regional four-year institutions in ag-related disciplines is essential. Experience in livestock selection and communication skills is necessary to coach competitive livestock judging. Participation in various professional activities, such as actively serving on program advisory committees with area businesses, recruiting and advising students is expected. Must understand the importance of technology, integrity, innovative thinking, and ability to work as a team to increase enrollment in a rural setting. 

SALARY
Upper 30s, depending on credentials.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in animal science or master’s degree in a related field with 18 graduate credits in animal science required.
  • Postsecondary teaching experience preferred.
