Job Description

This Team Lead, Project Manager role leads a team focused on supporting Central 1’s external clients with projects typically related to credit union mergers, renames, new website
designs and banking host conversions. All projects are conducted with a relentless focus on client satisfaction. You will be re
sponsible for a team of Project  Managers & Analysts (both senior & junior) which may include from time-to-time contract or temporary staff.

You'll be primarily accountable for:

- Ensuring that individual/team roles and responsibilities are understood and that performance measures are identified,  measured and monitored on an on-going basis in order to provide positive   feedback on accomplishments and to ensure immediate action is taken to  address shortfalls;

- Mentoring staff; supporting and developing the project management & analysis skills within the team through training and other methods. Ensuring that new team members have a defined induction process to gain familiarity with the project management approach;

- Assigning and monitoring work, ensuring adherence to corporate and departmental project management policies and practices, and ensuring successful completion of projects;

-Participating in the development and implementation of project management policies, procedures and quality standards, monitoring systems and best practices to track issues and compliance and improve project success rates. Ensuring that the project   management framework is appropriate to the size and scale of the projects executed by the team. Standardizing and streamlining the approach used for specific categories of project utilising appropriate techniques to ensure efficient throughput and management of each specific category;

- Participating in selection interviews with the Section Manager;

- Working closely with clients, internal  teams and other stakeholders to communicate project plans and project status, obtain or provide program, technical and progress data, and resolve planning and implementation issues;

- Recognizing and understanding the importance of customer service excellence and ensuring that the Project Management framework delivers customer service excellence;

- Managing projects where workload allows according to the same processes and success criteria that apply to the team;

- Recognizing and understanding the importance of using and maintaining up-to-date information relating to projects & change requests in both a ticket management system and a resource demand/time tracking system. Ensuring at all times that information held in the ticket management and resource demand tracking systems is up to date and accurate. Using the ticket management and resource demand tracking system according to current guidance (which may vary from time to time).

- Proactively ensuring that project close outs are completed and that essential lessons learned are identified and put to practical use in future projects. Ensuring that feedback for
internal teams is effectively given.

- Ensuring a positive work environment and awareness by all staff of company goals and objectives and creating an environment oriented towards trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort.


Qualifications

 ideal candidate you have:

- A Minimum of 10 years’ experience with visible progression related to responsibilities and project complexity in the financial services industry, including 5 or more years of experience working as a (Senior) Project Manager and 3 or more years’ experience of managing
people.

Experience in any/all of the following are assets for the role: External Client Consultancy, Ecommerce, Website Design, Content Management Solutions, Banking Hosts, Agile
Development, Lean, Payments Processing, PMP certification (or equivalent) and/or PMO experience.


The position requires the ability to :-

Lead & develop a team of project managers & Business analysts (both senior  and junior);

1’s clients;

- Adapt easily to changing priorities and business needs.

- Work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines in a team environment.
