Job Description

B&L’s asset management team is growing! We are currently seeking a full-time Asset Management Consultant in our Syracuse, NY office. Our team is passionate about helping our clients answer challenging questions with the convergence of technology and processes. We draw on scientific and engineering knowledge to help organizations understand their physical assets. Our team uses data and science techniques to help our clients understand and improve the performance of their businesses.

Some responsibilities of this position are, but not limited to:

Project scoping

Project and budget management

Staff mentoring

Business process mapping / modeling

Business benefits tracking

Building key client relationships and influencing stakeholders

Qualifications

The Asset Management Consultant should have a passion for delivering innovative added value services to support clients in optimizing the management of their physical assets. It is essential that the candidate possess the ability to work independently in a client environment. This position requires a high degree of technical aptitude and business knowledge coupled with strong written and oral communication skills.

Candidates should have a B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering with more than 10 years’ experience in the analysis and design of municipal water and wastewater projects. Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in NY is required and experience in the consulting engineering field is desired.  

Candidates should be proficient with MS Office applications, technical writing, possess solid marketing and communication skills, be able to interact effectively with staff and clients, and have experience in the preparation and presentation of proposals. Candidates will be responsible for managing and/or provide technical assistance to continually advance projects within scope, budget and schedule for all phases of asset management projects.
