As the Network Support Technician ( LAN Technician III ) , you will hold a critical position on our dynamic team within the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Center (NEC) at Fort Benning, GA. Your knowledge, experience and subject matter expertise will ensure the government customer's Network and its users are supported to the highest standards and with the utmost professionalism. Highlights of Responsibilities:

• Respond to network problems utilizing testing tools and techniques and interface with support groups to ensure escalation during outages or degraded performance.
• Support installation of terminals and possess strong knowledge of network systems and management software.
• Monitor and respond to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.
• Install and configure network hardware and software.
• Provide network troubleshooting and support.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users and administer network security.
• Back up file server data/disks and Provide complex server maintenance. •Sets up new users and delete old users from the network.
• May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
• Provide effective and professional oral and written communications with internal and external contractor and government employees.
• Participate in special projects as required.

Requirements:

• 5 years of direct experience
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• CE certification required •Security+ and BCNE certification
• Associates Degree or higher in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
• Working knowledge of CISCO Switches/Routers, Call Manager experience (VOIP), INFO BLOX knowledge, Brocade switches, KG175A and KG175D, understand layer 2 switching and a working knowledge of layer 3 routing, experience with remedy.
