Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

The Department is seeking to appoint full-time Lecturers (i.e. tenure-track Assistant Professor) or Senior Lecturers, specialising in Accounting Information Systems. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong research potential, as well as a commitment to excellent research-informed teaching that is enhanced by appropriate learning technologies.

The positions will be vacant until filled and applicants are strongly encouraged to apply before 6 March 2023.

This a permanent full time position. 

Remuneration - $100000 - $115000 depending on the experience.

The Department of Accounting & Finance is one of the largest Departments in the University. It has a strong research culture and comprehensive teaching programmes at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Department is seeking to appoint full-time Lecturers (i.e. tenure-track Assistant Professor) or Senior Lecturers in both Accounting and Finance. Within Accounting, we are seeking outstanding candidates with specializations in Accounting Information Systems, Financial Accounting, and Management Accounting. Suitably qualified applicants working more broadly in financial economics or macro-finance are also encouraged to apply.  The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong research potential, as well as a commitment to excellent research-informed teaching that is enhanced by appropriate learning technologies.
